Privacy policy
Stay Windsor rents short-term stays on Gerrish Street in Windsor, Nova Scotia. This page explains what personal information we collect on staywindsorns.ca, why, and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you book: your first and last name, email, phone number (optional), your dates and the number of guests.
- When you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us.
- Basic technical data: our web host keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. You pay on the secure booking page run by OwnerRez, our booking system.
Why we use it
- To check availability, price your stay and create your booking.
- To send your confirmation and check-in details, and to contact you about your stay.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.
We will not sell your information or use it for advertising. We only send marketing emails if you ask for them.
Who we share it with
- OwnerRez, which runs our bookings, payments and guest messages.
- The payment processor OwnerRez uses to take your payment.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Government or law enforcement, only when the law requires it.
These companies may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the laws of that country apply to it.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not use analytics. The OwnerRez booking page may use its own cookies to complete your payment securely.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records as long as we need them for your stay and as long as tax and accounting law requires. After that, we delete them.
How we protect it
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Booking details go straight to OwnerRez over an encrypted connection. Our booking system login is only used by us.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (this may mean we can’t complete a booking). Contact us using the details below and we’ll reply within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
